Developed through the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE), the Agricultural Water Quality Research and Education Program focuses on researching, developing, and promoting farming practices that improve and protect water quality throughout California’s agricultural regions. The program works closely with growers, agricultural professionals, and local communities to encourage the implementation of effective water stewardship practices directly in the field.
The program addresses a wide range of important agricultural and environmental topics, including irrigation management, nutrient efficiency, runoff reduction, groundwater protection, soil health, pesticide management, and erosion control.
